Please join us on Saturday, October 15th, at 11:30 am for a free hands-on demonstration of music therapy in a group setting. The group is open to any child with special needs and his/her family. The 45-minute session will be facilitated by two board-certified music therapists, Emily Ross and Angie Kopshy. The primary goal of the session is to provide a safe environment for children to interact and engage with one another musically. There will be singing, moving, instrument playing, and improvising. Emily and Angie work from a client-centered perspective, celebrating strengths of every person.

Angie Kopshy, MM, MT-BC, received a master's in Piano Pedagogy at Boise State University before returning to Portland to pursue Music Therapy at Marylhurst University. Upon completion of her internship, Angie opened Music Therapy Services of Portland and specializes in children diagnosed on the autism spectrum and neurologic music therapy for Parkinson's, TBI, and Alzheimer's. 971-221-7144
Emily Ross, MA, MT-BC, has been serving children on the autism spectrum since 2003. She holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology/Music Therapy, and a bachelor of Music Education.
